2026–2027Winter operating plans

Published course counts describe the facility, not the number of runs open on your visit.

Dates for the 2026–2027 ski season have not yet been verified in this guide. Check the operator’s announcement before choosing your travel dates.

These are seasonal plans, not live slope or lift status. Snow and weather can change the dates and the terrain available.

Check the season and update time on the linked page. Snow and lift reports from a previous season may remain online.

01 / TRAVEL NOTES

Choose your skiing and starting point

Choose the slopes by visibility and ability

Below Mount Akita-Komagatake, Tazawako is known for its lake views. Difficulty varies between upper and lower terrain, so choose your circuits from the official map rather than the view alone. In poor visibility, stay lower and leave time for clearer weather instead of pushing uphill.

Treat ungroomed skiing as a separate skill

Mizusawa Champion, Komagatake No. 3 and Ginrei Paradise are among the listed ungroomed runs. Depth and uneven snow change their difficulty: confidence on a groomed piste is not the same as stable deep-snow skiing. Mountain terrain outside the managed area is different again; check official notices and speak to a local guide.

Let food and hot springs set the pace

Ski Center Rera has Restaurant Shirakaba and Lounge Kuromori for lunch and breaks. Below the mountain, Mizusawa Onsen, Nyuto Onsen and the lakeside offer further choices. Choose one unhurried bath and meal rather than filling the day with transfers between hot springs.
