ROUTE 1

From the east exit of Echigo-Yuzawa Station, take the route bus

Take the Joetsu Shinkansen to Echigo-Yuzawa, and from the east exit take a local bus bound for Mitsumata/Tashiro. Check the entrance of the ropeway you will arrive at and board, leaving plenty of time to allow for the return flight and possible congestion. Please check the ski resort's official transportation information for this season's bus schedule.

ROUTE 2

Drive to Mitsumata or Tashiro parking lot

From Yuzawa IC on Kanetsu Expressway, head south on National Route 17. Mitsumata and Tashiro are different stations and parking lots, so use the navigation destination accordingly. Check the winter equipment, parking conditions, and ropeway operations, and choose the location of the hot springs and inns you'll stop at on your way back.

ROUTE 3

Stay in Yuzawa and secure flights to the mountains

If you stay at an inn near the station, you can combine hot spring town meals with Shinkansen access. In some cases, the shuttle service from the hotel stops at the station, so instead of thinking that you can go directly to Kagura, check the route bus and shuttle service. Those coming from Naeba should also check available contacts and seasonal operations before traveling.
