Joetsu Shinkansen to GALA Yuzawa Station

If you take the winter train bound for GALA Yuzawa, you can enter directly from the station to the ski center. Check the operating date, train, and return departure time when making your JR reservation. Take time to return equipment and change clothes, and set a deadline for getting ready in time for the last service.

Take the shuttle from Echigo-Yuzawa Station

You can also take the Shinkansen to Echigo-Yuzawa Station and continue on the GALA shuttle. This route suits a stay in the onsen town or dinner near the station before travelling home. Check the winter bus stops, operating dates and last return shuttle in the official guide.

By car: From Yuzawa IC/Shiozawa Ishiuchi IC

The official entrances are Yuzawa IC on the Kanetsu Expressway for Tokyo, and Shiozawa Ishiuchi IC for Niigata. Pack your winter gear and check out parking and arrival instructions. On snowy or crowded days, leave plenty of time to wait between parking and rental.
