Getting to Shiga Kogen

Two public routes are the express bus from Nagano Station’s east exit, or Nagano Dentetsu rail to Yudanaka followed by a local bus. Hasuike’s Mountain Station is a hub, not every hotel’s front door. Search the actual destination and avoid adding an unnecessary transfer. Confirmed 2026–27 winter times, final connections and booking deadlines remain unverified. The winter page still covers 2025-12-06–2026-04-06; the current green-season guide ends 2026-12-04. Neither is the full coming-winter timetable.

Distinguish Okushiga Gondola from Okushiga Kogen Hotel, and Prince East, South and West Wings in Yakebitaiyama. Match Ichinose or Ichinose Ski Area to your hotel and entrance. For Kumanoyu, check Kumanoyu or Hotaru Onsen (Suzurikawa). This season’s final connection from Hotaru Onsen to Yokoteyama’s Yokosaka or first lift remains unconfirmed. A summer Shibutoge destination is not a winter direct service. These stops are matching aids, not guarantees that all coming-season buses call at each one.

Public routes, winter ski shuttles, hotel circuits and reserved facility transfers are separate services. Check free sections, eligible days and current schedules individually. The Prince circuit PDF and Yokoteyama’s free-transfer announcement are from 2025–26; do not reuse old deadlines such as 16:00 the previous day. Assess the last connection all the way to your hotel, alongside its dinner-arrival deadline.

Plan winter driving from the Shinshu-Nakano side and check Route 292. The Shiga-Kusatsu route closes in winter; do not assume you can cross from Kusatsu. Official road information reports Route 502 towards Nozawa Onsen unavailable for through travel until around May 2027 because of works and winter closure. Check exact closure/reopening dates and travel-day restrictions, and prepare winter equipment and fuel.
