Multiple ski areas
2026–2027Winter operating plans
Niseko United comprises four ski areas. Their season dates differ; compare courses and distances for each individual area.
These are seasonal plans, not live slope or lift status. Snow and weather can change the dates and the terrain available.
Check the season and update time on the linked page. Snow and lift reports from a previous season may remain online.
01 / TRAVEL NOTES
Four ski areas. Choose your first base.
Choose your ski area and lesson meeting point first, then a stay at that base. It makes both the morning and the evening easier to plan.
Photographs illustrate the destination, not live conditions. Check official daily reports and plan the return to your own base; upper connections can close.

01 / HIRAFU
Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu
Mountain mornings, Hirafu evenings.
Courses
22
Longest run
5,300 m
22 courses and 5,300m apply to Grand Hirafu, not totals for Niseko United. · Checked 2026-10-06
Terrain & skiing
Nine beginner, six intermediate and seven advanced courses. Choose your terrain by ability, and check the descent and operations before heading higher.
Beginners & families
GoSnow offers dedicated magic carpets and Japanese / English lessons. For a first ski day, put the journey to the meeting point ahead of the village name.
Arrival base
Arrive at the Hirafu base. Ki Niseko is one stay option; align the ski valet, rental pickup and lesson meeting point.
Stay, bath & dinner
Consider Ki’s hotel bath, Bang Bang or Bar Gyu+ in Hirafu. Kiranoyu requires a separate trip toward Niseko Station; these are not all within the same walking area.

02 / HANAZONO
Niseko HANAZONO Resort
Start with a lesson; build the day around Hanazono.
Courses
12
Longest run
Not verified
The official course list has 12 entries. The resort-wide longest run is unverified. Silver Dream’s 2,700m is an individual course length, not used as the resort maximum. · Checked 2026-10-06
Terrain & skiing
Mango Salad, Juicy Fruit and Ren-taku serve beginner progression, with wooded and ungroomed terrain for appropriate abilities. The powder photograph illustrates advanced terrain, not beginner piste conditions.
Beginners & families
Hanazono Bowl has two magic carpets, with lessons through NISS. Match age, ability and lesson language to the Hanazono meeting point.
Arrival base
Arrive on the Hanazono side. Park Hyatt is a base option here; do not substitute a Hirafu arrival or school meeting point.
Stay, bath & dinner
Plan around hotel baths and restaurants, or arrange a round trip to Hirafu with a confirmed return time.

03 / VILLAGE
Niseko Village Ski Resort
Keep the first lift and the evening bath close.
Courses
30
Longest run
5,500 m
30 courses and 5,500m apply to Niseko Village alone. The map page currently links a 2025–26 PDF; check updates for your visit. · Checked 2026-10-06
Terrain & skiing
30 courses with a 5,500m longest run. The official difficulty mix is 50% beginner, 23% intermediate and 27% advanced. Check the gradients and finish point of any longer descent.
Beginners & families
Japanese / English lessons and children’s programmes for ages 4–12 are listed. Check the registration and practice area, rather than choosing solely by the beginner percentage.
Arrival base
Arrive at Niseko Village. Hilton is a slopeside option; select the Village arrival stop when arranging airport transport.
Stay, bath & dinner
Hilton’s bath and base-area dining can keep the day together. Milk Kobo is a separate outing to Soga. Evenings in Hirafu also need a return transport plan.

04 / ANNUPURI
Niseko Annupuri International Ski Area
Practice on lower slopes, then make time for the hotel.
Courses
13
Longest run
Not verified
13 courses apply to Annupuri alone. A resort-wide official longest run has not been verified; 960m refers only to Junior course. · Checked 2026-10-06
Terrain & skiing
13 courses. Beginner Family is 580m, maximum 11° / average 6°; Paradise is 560m, maximum 12° / average 11°. Use both gradient and distance to select the first practice area.
Beginners & families
Junior is also beginner-rated: 960m, maximum 13° / average 9°. Choose by ability and lesson meeting point, rather than the course name.
Arrival base
Arrive at the Annupuri base. Northern Resort is a ski-in / ski-out option; choose an Annupuri arrival rather than Hirafu.
Stay, bath & dinner
Northern’s hotel bath excludes day visitors under the official notice. Goshiki Onsen is a separate mountain-side trip; check winter roads, opening and the return journey.
Use Hirafu as your base for skiing and dinner outings. Check the climb and distance between your accommodation and the lift, rather than relying on the village name.
