The tourism association describes bread sales ending when sold out, which is not a current-season supply guarantee. The exterior photo dates from 2015. Ask the lift operator about sightseeing access, downhill rides and the last return; do not assume summit access after closing or during suspension.

During a break on a day of skiing at Yokoteyama, I look for bread from the summit hut. If you schedule your trip to include the time to get to the top of the mountain, you will have time to enjoy lunch and enjoy the scenery. The view depends on the weather, so you may not be able to see the same view as in the clear photo.

According to information from the tourist association, the bread sale will end once it is sold out. Don't fix your lunch on the assumption that you can definitely buy the food you want, but instead check the opening hours and sales status on that day.

Transportation to the top of Yokoteyama changes depending on the season. It is important not to use summer skylators and road guides for winter travel. Check out the lift operations and courses on the official website of Yokoteyama/Shibu Pass Ski Resort, then plan your trip to the summit.

If you have a companion who doesn't ski, check with the operator in advance to see if they can take the sightseeing ride up or down. If you plan on skiing back, choose a course that suits your skill level and a time to finish your break based on the end time of the lift.
