Geto Kogen and Kitakami

Geto Kogen, which enters the mountain west from Kitakami City. You can choose from three lodging locations: an on-site inn in the mountains, a hot spring village along the way, and around Kitakami Station. Whether you're planning a trip with plenty of time for skiing or combining a hot spring inn with a meal in town, each transportation plan is important.

Getting around the area

Check the winter shuttle stops along with choosing your accommodation. Morning and evening hours differ between on-site inns and inns in the city, and the bus from the hot spring village may be stopped at a roadside stop. For sightseeing at museums in Kitakami city, transportation will be provided separately from the shuttle to the ski resort.

03 / CULTURE & NATURE

Kitakami Oni Museum

A museum that collects materials on the theme of demons and introduces local culture such as Kitakami's Onikenbai. This is a good option for adding Kitakami's history and folklore to your mountain trip by preparing a half-day separate from the skiing. The facility is not located in front of a station or adjacent to a ski resort, so please check the city transportation separately. Focusing on indoor tours, it can also be considered as a destination on days when the skiing is shortened due to weather.

Before you visit or book

Check closures/special exhibitions, opening hours, public transportation/taxi, and baggage handling.
