Tohoku Shinkansen to Kitakami Station, winter shuttle

A free shuttle from Kitakami Station to the ski resort is officially announced. Be sure to check the operating season, boarding location, whether reservations are required, and the last service. This will allow for delays from the arrival of the Shinkansen to the boarding point and on the return trip due to snowy roads.

Use Kitakami city/hot spring village stops

There are buses that can be boarded from downtown areas such as Kusano Hotel, or from stops on the hot spring village side. Since the bus does not go to the entrance of every inn, check the official timetable for the boarding location and walking route from the inn. There may not be a shuttle after dinner or bathing, so we will discuss alternative transportation.

ROUTE 3

Drive to the mountain from Kitakami Nishi IC etc.

Check the official route from Kitakami Nishi IC on the Akita Expressway, Kitakami Ezuriko IC and Kitakami Kanegasaki IC on the Tohoku Expressway. Be prepared for snow and ice on the section going up the mountain, so be sure to use winter tires and leave plenty of time. Even if snow removal is carried out, road conditions change depending on the weather.
