01 / TRAVEL NOTES
Cold soba or a warming bowl
For lunch in the village, start with soba and tempura. The official tourism guide lists chilled soba, soba with maitake tempura, hot nameko soba, tempura soba and a tempura rice bowl. Choose a chilled serving on one day or a hot bowl after a walk through the snow on another.
02 / TRAVEL NOTES
Plan village dining separately from lunch on the slopes
Daimon is in the village. Returning from Kamino-taira or another upper ski area for lunch takes time to ski down and travel. It is easier to fit into arrival day or a day when you finish early, with public-bath visits before or afterwards.
The official guide lists separate lunch and evening service. Check the gap between them if you plan to eat after an afternoon bath. Seating is limited, so larger groups should ask ahead about accommodating everyone.

Check hours and payment before going
The official tourism listing says credit cards are not accepted. Opening days and payment arrangements can change, so check before visiting and bring cash.
