01 / TRAVEL NOTES
Stay on Oyu-dori, with dinner in the plan
Haus St. Anton stands on Oyu-dori, among village shops and bathhouses. Combine a ski day with time on foot, then choose dinner at the hotel or an evening out. Rooms using reclaimed timber have individual layouts and character.
Base
Oyu-dori, Nozawa Onsen village
Slope access
The hotel estimates six minutes to the Yu Road entrance, not to each Hikage or Nagasaka meeting point.
Rooms
Distinguish private-shower/toilet rooms from shared-facility types. Match the room name, capacity and bedding.
Baths & facilities
The booking page announces renovation from June 2026 through late October as planned. Reopening unverified; check bathing on your dates.
Transport
Iiyama-to-village transport and the hotel-to-Yu-Road walk are separate. Winter hotel transfers are unverified.
02 / TRAVEL NOTES
Match the photograph to bedding and bathroom facilities
The hotel lists rooms with private shower and toilet facilities as well as rooms using shared bathrooms or toilets. Twin, double and larger-party arrangements differ. Check the room name, guest capacity and extra-bed conditions together. The category shown in our photograph is unconfirmed.
The official booking page announces that the onsen and negative-ion bath are unavailable during communal-bath renovations from June 2026, planned through the end of October. Reopening is unverified. If choosing a shared-bathroom room, ask where you can bathe on your dates before booking. Do not assume a room bathroom is a natural hot spring.
The official dinner course starts for all diners at 18:00 and requires a reservation by the previous day. Check whether your plan includes dinner, breakfast and children’s meals separately. Leave time to return from skiing and change before the meal.
Declare allergies when booking. Vegetarian or vegan arrangements need discussion no later than two days ahead; the hotel notes that extra charges may apply. Do not assume every dietary request can be guaranteed.
The Oyu-dori shop-cafe sells jam, juice and other products. Hotel meals, shopping at the cafe and online-store orders are separate. Check current opening and closure notices, and allow time to choose something to take home.
About six minutes to Yu Road, not every ski facility
The hotel’s six-minute walking estimate ends at the Yu Road moving walkway entrance towards Hikage. It is not the full journey to a particular Hikage facility or the Nagasaka gondola. Allow extra for snowy streets and carrying equipment, and check your booked lesson and rental meeting points first.
This winter’s Yu Road hours, village shuttle trips and hotel transfers are unverified. Do not reuse summer or old-season schedules. Check the ski area and hotel for your day, then agree the return entrance and arrival time if dinner is booked.
Use online booking and enquiries for different needs
The official website provides both an online booking entry and email or telephone enquiry contacts. Check room, meal and cancellation conditions and the confirmation notice on the booking service. An enquiry alone does not confirm a reservation.
Live availability was not verified on the booking service in this check. If it shows an error or conditions are unclear, contact the hotel with dates, guest numbers, bedding needs and meal requests.
Check private versus shared bathrooms and toilets, bedding and bathing alternatives during renovation.
Confirm the 18:00 dinner, reservation deadline, meal inclusions and dietary arrangements.
Plan the walk to Yu Road and the return from your Hikage or Nagasaka meeting point.
