01 / TRAVEL NOTES
Choose the rice-ball size and filling
Enjoy the taste of rice grown at the station on your way home. The officially introduced bomb rice balls are made using Koshihikari rice grown in Minamiuonuma, and there is also a large "Daibaku Onigiri". Instead of deciding on a portion size for a light snack, look at the size and ingredients on the menu before ordering.
When you visit Yukinto, please check the store information. The current Ponshukan official site has the menu and store information for ``Bomb Onigiri-ya.''
It's located at CoCoLo Yuzawa near Echigo-Yuzawa Station, so it's a great option for a meal on the day you get back from the ski resort. However, even if the souvenir shop is open, the meal reception may be closed. Don't think about the uniform closing time of the restaurant, but check the last order for your meal.
If you are traveling with children, be sure to check the ingredients and quantities on the menu, and allow time for them to finish eating. If you would like to reserve a seat or order takeout, please contact the store in advance.
Plan the time to ride the train, order, eat, and go to the ticket gate separately.
Please check with the store regarding ingredients, food allergies, and desired usage.
Don't set a fixed schedule based on the assumption that you have a reservation, and allow yourself plenty of time to wait.
