Ponshukan Echigo-Yuzawa

Ponshukan in CoCoLo Yuzawa at Echigo-Yuzawa Station brings together Niigata sake, rice crackers and seasonings, with rice-ball meals at Bakudan Onigiri-ya. If you return to the station after skiing, choose what you want to do and leave time before your train.

The sake tasting room does not admit under-20s and parties with children. For a visit together with children, choose shopping or food. These tasting-room restrictions are separate from access to the other parts of the shop.

If you drink at the tasting room, arrange a journey that does not involve driving. The sake bath adds bathing sake to natural hot-spring water; it is a bathing facility, not a drinking venue. Shopping, meals, tasting and bathing are separate uses.

Check the day’s last bathing admission, towel arrangements and luggage storage. The official rules prohibit mixed bathing for primary-school children and older, so plan which adult will accompany a child in the men’s or women’s bath.

Official access guidance lists about 50 m from the Echigo-Yuzawa Station ticket gates. This is a different station from GALA Yuzawa: allow for the journey back after skiing at GALA.

On 19 October 2026, the official shop page still displayed July–September hours and said later hours would be announced separately. Current and winter opening hours and last admission remain unverified here. Check the latest official notices for food, tasting and bathing individually rather than planning around the old timetable.
