Leave your luggage at your accommodation in Echigo-Yuzawa and arrange transportation and tickets for Mitsumata and Tashiro for the next day. Enjoy a meal in the hot spring town, and check out the bus connections from the ski area to the top of the mountain and back.
I entered the mountain from the entrance I had planned based on the morning service. First, you can ski in one area, and if the conditions and skill match, you can expand by reaching the top of the mountain. We decided on a time for lunch and return, and headed down to the ski area early to Kaido no Yu or the hot springs at our hotel.
If you're on a spring trip, check which entrances are open and take a short run. If it's a rest day, I'll combine outdoor baths, hegi soba, and Ponshukan. If you're going to the mountains, count back from the train time, including equipment return and transportation to the station.
We will arrange the opening days of the facility, meals and transportation conditions for the accommodation, and transportation to and from the facility in advance. When it snows or the service is canceled, find ways to spend your time other than skiing. This is not a reserved product or a confirmed flight schedule.
Your choice of Mitsumata or Tashiro changes the journey from your hotel. Plan an Echigo-Yuzawa base and stops in Mitsumata around the entrance you intend to use.

Reserved and non-reserved Nagano buses are separate. Winter pages still cover2025–26: verify the current departure and actual stop at Happo, Hakuba Station or Goryu. The existing80min example is bus plus walking from Nagano to Happo gondola, not every mountain or waiting time.
