Stay for the baths

Choose between Sukayu’s ryokan and toji wings for a stay built around bathing. The mixed-gender Hiba Sennin Bath and the gender-separated Tama no Yu are different baths. Plan overnight bathing separately from day admission, and the journey to the inn separately from travel to ski entrances.

Choose a wing and meal plan

Ryokan Wing No. 1 has Western-style rooms with beds; the I and No. 7 buildings have Japanese-style rooms. The toji wing offers simpler Japanese rooms, including rooms using shared washbasins and toilets. En-suite toilets and washbasins are listed in No. 1 and toji No. 3. Check the exact room’s bedding, bathroom facilities and stairs rather than choosing by wing name alone.

Ryokan and toji meals differ in style and portion. The official facility page places I-building dinners in the room, No. 1 and No. 7 dinners in a dining room, and both meals for meal-inclusive toji stays in a dining room. Confirm the actual venue and included meals for your room and plan. Shared cooking facilities and making your own futon in the toji wing are different from a full-service hotel stay.

Hiba Sennin Bath is a large, pillar-free mixed-gender bathhouse built with hiba wood. Tama no Yu has separate baths for men and women. Women-only periods and the facility’s bathing garments offer options for visitors unsure about mixed bathing, but overnight guests and day visitors have different access times. Check the bath guide and reception’s instructions for your visit.

Arrival at the inn and travel to skiing

The free transfer from Shin-Aomori Station’s east exit is for overnight guests and must be reserved when booking the stay. It is separate from airport transport: the official site says there is no direct bus from Aomori Airport to Sukayu. A timetable without a year does not confirm 2026–27 departures; reconfirm your date, pickup point and bus with the inn.

Hakkoda Ropeway, Hakkoda Kokusai Ski Resort and guided-tour meeting places are separate destinations. A station-to-inn transfer does not guarantee transport to every ski entrance. Check winter closures, night restrictions and the return journey, using the shared access guide for the whole trip.
