Hotel Jogakura

HOTEL Jogakura is a forest hotel at Jogakura Onsen in Hakkoda. Choose between a room with its own hot-spring bath and time in the shared outdoor baths. Check the meal plan and arrange travel on ski days so there is time to enjoy the hotel too. Sukayu and Hakkoda Ropeway are separate destinations.

Duplex Fourth has a bedroom on the first level and a living room above; for three or more guests, the upper-level sofa bed is used. Royal Suite is also a maisonette, with its bedroom upstairs. The official room guide says the only ground-floor room type is Duplex Fourth, so a ground-floor booking does not mean step-free accommodation. Confirm extra bedding, children sharing beds and children’s meals for the room and plan you select.

Shared baths are listed for overnight guests from 14:00 until 09:00 the next morning. Public day bathing is listed separately, 11:30–15:00 with reception closing at 14:30. Check the dedicated bath page for prices and age categories; overnight privileges do not automatically apply to day visitors. Bath towels are not available to rent; hand towels are sold.

There is no lift. The ground-floor room type is Duplex Fourth, which also has internal stairs; discuss access needs before booking.

Rooms

Comfort Twin, Junior Suite and Royal Suite have Aomori hiba hot-spring view baths. Standard Twin, Duplex Fourth and Japanese-style rooms have unit bathrooms.

Baths & facilities

Shared outdoor baths use free-flowing spring water; indoor baths use added water, heating and circulation. There is no family bath.

Transport

Reserve the Aomori Station guest transfer directly with the hotel at least three days ahead. Listed departures: station 15:30, hotel 09:00. Seats are limited; reconfirm this winter’s service because the notice has no season year.

The hotel lists a kaiseki dinner from 18:00–21:00 and breakfast from 07:00–09:00. Breakfast may change from a buffet to a Japanese set meal. Meals are served in the restaurant, but inclusion depends on the accommodation plan. Check meals, venue and arrival requirements on your booking. Lunch requires consultation with reception.

Notify the hotel about food allergies when booking or by 09:00 on the day before your stay. Its stated scope covers egg, shrimp, crab, buckwheat, milk, peanut, wheat and walnut; complete allergen removal is not guaranteed. Accommodation of other dietary requirements is unconfirmed, so discuss them before booking.

The station pickup point is near the police box to the right after leaving the front of Aomori Station, not Shin-Aomori Station. Check the transfer request separately from the room reservation. Transfers to Hakkoda Ropeway and Sukayu require advance consultation; the station service’s deadline, free-fare conditions and times have not been confirmed for these trips. Transfers to guide meeting points or Hakkoda Kokusai Ski Area are also unconfirmed.

This winter’s public bus times, stop and onward journey to the hotel, and winter journey times to the ski destinations remain unconfirmed. Use the shared transport guide and current operator information. The hotel’s notice dated 8 October 2026 asks drivers to use winter tyres until mid-May. Check road closures and night restrictions; summer routes and journey times do not establish winter access.
