Two mountains, where to start

Start gently on Tower Mountain

Hello Nipo is a 710 m beginner run beside Nipo Chair. Start with stopping and turning before moving on. Road to Gondola connects towards Tomamu Mountain; do not assume the same route works in reverse. Check the map, open runs and the route back to your hotel.

Long cruising or steeper terrain on Tomamu Mountain

Silver Bell is a 3,300 m easy run. Linking it with Beginners Choice produces the resort’s 4,200 m longest route, not one single piste. Intermediate skiers can consider groomed Exhibition; advanced skiers can assess No Gravity, with a maximum pitch of 35 degrees. Choose by grooming and ability. Separate mountain course totals remain unconfirmed.

An early gondola does not mean early skiing

From 2027-01-20 to 2027-02-10, gondola boarding for skiing is not permitted between 7:45 and 9:00. Plan Frost Tree Terrace sightseeing separately from your first descent. The advanced-only off-piste area has its own registration, equipment and daily opening rules.

Three days of snow and a resort stay

A suggested plan: adapt it to open facilities, booking terms and your return transport.

Arrival day | Set up the next morning

After leaving your bags, confirm lesson language, age group, meeting point and equipment collection. Choose dinner by each venue’s reservation rules, and check the resort bus back.

Ski day | Practice or a longer descent

First-time skiers can start with Hello Nipo; confident skiers can explore Tomamu Mountain. If others swim, agree on Mina-Mina Beach admission and a meeting point. Swap plans when the weather changes.

Winter evening and departure morning

Consider Ice Village only during its opening dates, checking each paid or reserved experience separately. Work backwards from your booked train or airport bus on the last day rather than adding too many activities.

06 / TRAVEL NOTES

Transport and hotel drop-offs

From New Chitose Airport, change at Minami-Chitose for a limited express to Tomamu, then use the hotel transfer. Station→The Tower is about 5 min, station→RISONARE about 10 min, to the hotel rather than the slopes. If no bus is waiting, use the dedicated phone on platform 2. Trains are all-reserved-seat and the station has no ticket office. Arrange outbound and return tickets in advance; The Tower’s ticket machine does not accept cash.

07 / TRAVEL NOTES

Check what your booking includes

  • Check the room name, number of people, bedding, and meal conditions.
  • Confirm airport or station access separately from the journey between your hotel and the slopes.
  • Confirm lesson/rental reservations, meeting locations, and age requirements.
  • Confirm the total cost, cancellation fee, and contact information in case of traffic disruption.
YOUR NEXT CHAPTER

A good trip starts with the right base.
