01 / TRAVEL NOTES

Time for hot springs, close to the station

Yuzawa Grand suits a rail trip with time for the hotel’s baths and meals. Your morning journey depends on whether you choose GALA, Kagura or Naeba; none is directly connected to the hotel.

Base
Echigo-Yuzawa Station / onsen town
Slope access
GALA, Kagura and Naeba each require a journey; none is directly connected.
Rooms
Check the room name, party size, bedding and meals. An open-air bath requires the specified room category.
Baths & facilities
Communal baths, paid telephone-booked private baths and rooms with open-air baths are separate choices.
Transport
Official estimate: two minutes on foot, with a steep slope. Call for station pickup after arrival; no advance reservation required.

Communal baths, private sessions or an open-air bath in your room

Match the named Japanese-style or Western-style room to your party size and bedding. Dinner-and-breakfast, breakfast-only and room-only offers shape the evening differently, so check meal inclusions alongside your arrival time.

Kiri no Yu, Wakakusa no Yu and Iwa no Yu are communal bathing areas with different hours. The Takara no Yu and Hana no Yu private baths are paid sessions booked by telephone. Reserving one is different from booking a room with its own open-air hot-spring bath. Standard rooms do not all have that facility: match the room shown in a photograph to the room category you book.

03 / TRAVEL NOTES

Ask for a station pickup before tackling the hill

The official two-minute walk is an estimate from Echigo-Yuzawa Station, with a steep slope outside the hotel. For station pickup, the hotel asks you to call after arrival; advance reservation is not required. Snow and heavy luggage can make the short walk difficult. This pickup is separate from transport to GALA, Kagura or Naeba: confirm the journey to your chosen slopes for your date.
